my workplace, my arena

I watched this movie by accident. The dark beginning of the movie made me a little uncomfortable, watching the 20-year-old Xiaoxun's killing skills are flawless, and watching Xiaoxun being silenced by Ji Hyongdao when he went downstairs... At the time, I thought it was a gangster movie, and there will be a next one. A handsome, smart policeman, or So Ji-sub will play Infernal Affairs. However, the plot did not develop that way!
Ji Hyung-do was transformed into a company employee in a suit. The girl at the front desk who steals snacks, the financial accountant who is struggling, colleagues who go back and forth with thick documents... This is a normal job, a common working environment, just like our work.
"Don't think about anything else, you must persevere, insist on getting your pension, it's a victory for working-class people like you and me."
"It's the job to be done!"
"I'm also paying for the tuition of my second son who is going to college... ..."
It's a decent job, but it's a bloody river and lake. Xiaoxun was silenced, but he sacrificed a part-time employee; Chi Jiongdao killed Minister Chen and became the head of the second sales department; the representative of Quan who said this sentence, "I am most optimistic about you in the whole company, finally expressed his gratitude to himself." Ai Jiang issued an order to kill; the retired director betrayed his friends for reinstatement; when Chi Jiongdao wanted to retire, he had to face the pursuit of all his former colleagues... This is all corners of the world, but it is also a workplace!
In the workplace, feel the same way! It is common for interns and part-time employees to have their interests sacrificed; a run on a colleague for promotion and pay raises is forgivable; for the company’s interests, talented but threatening employees are abandoned; For the sake of business secrets, I'm sorry, we are no longer friends... For a salary, for the retirement pension after retirement, we have turned ourselves into rivers and lakes.
At the end of the movie, So Ji-sub said, "Don't work hard for your work." I didn't sigh, but that sentence was an exhortation and a repentance, but it was pale and powerless. When Xiaoxun walked out of the office building, I repeated So Ji-sub's line in my mind, "Let's live happily, don't work hard for work."

  • Company President: We need reliable candidates with solid military backgrounds or good social skills. Taking on wannabe gangsters will turn us into a bunch of thugs.
