Perhaps, such things are too numerous to mention. We are already very happy, living in a peaceful age. Everyone seems to be working hard to make this society better and better with their own moral standards. No matter how much argument there is, in the end we'll be fine.
However, we always choose to forget about the too painful past. Not to mention reflection. Being good at reflection is also my greatest respect for this film. The eight major cinema chains in Hollywood were founded by Jews. By the time of Schindler's list, everyone had already made a lot of money. So, I decided to make this film that I didn't intend to make money.
In this film, there are kind-hearted Germans and officers who are in a dilemma in the context of the great era. Human nature is here, so real. However, in my opinion, it's all plot.
Most importantly, the film reveals the original sin of Western civilization. And the cause of original sin, the evil of human nature.
From the massacre of the Indians, to the slave trade in Africa, to the genocide of the Jews. The establishment of civilization seems to be based on the oppression of other peoples. Is that African continent, which is called never having a future, just because black people are not smart enough? Crazy plunder of other ethnic groups, come back to develop their own economy and export products. Out there are criminals who come to pretend to be holy believers. Now that the stolen money is used up, the idea of the Middle East is playing again. In the name of liberal democracy. Isn't this national business model still slavery?
In my opinion, the most horrific thing about this film is not the crimes of the Germans. The German nation, almost the most rational nation in the world, has committed such crimes. Still can not resist the greed, sin, weakness, cruelty of human nature. Not to mention others. Schindler's sentence "war is always the evil of human nature, not the flash" is a warning.
The magic of this movie for me is that the more I look back, the more obvious and terrifying that huge evil becomes. Suffocates me, makes me see no hope, makes me curl up in a chair, afraid to touch my phone. Because it seems to indicate that all this in history will eventually come back.
