Godard uses film to write social essays, maintaining his usual political critique, and his narrative approach is experimental. The film chose Juliet as the point of view, and used a bunch of fragmented plots to build up the scene of this circle. These plots do not exaggerate lust or emotion at all, but narrate a fact in an almost documentary style, so as to reveal the moral stance of people as consumers in urban life.
