Sea levels have risen, air quality has continued to deteriorate, and uncontrolled waste has turned Los Angeles into an endless garbage dump. In 2049, we will focus on a younger, more robotized replica Kplayed by. His job is to hunt down replicas of the old model. He is assigned to the tough Lieutenant Josie of the Los Angeles Police Department.
In the routine mission of hunting down an early model of the chain No. 8 replicator Sapper, K made a surprising discovery, which was enough to threaten humans and millions of people. The order between human slaves and the obedience of replicators to humans depends on their built-in validity period and the idea that they are created to serve their masters. Many things can mess up this system.
Josh has reason to believe that K's discovery will cause a copyist uprising, so he orders K to destroy the evidence. K disobeyed the order and returned to a distant farm looking for clues, but the clues were still very vague, because many years ago, strong electromagnetic pulses caused almost all data records to become extinct. So K can only use the old-school investigative methods to find the former Blade Runner Rick Dyke, and jointly solve the terrifying conspiracy that is about to subvert human society.
