[Exhibition at the China Film Archive] Film version. Marvel at Philip Seymour Hoffman's best-in-class performance. The sissy in his gestures is a different person from his image in other films. Only when the killer pays for his life can his story have an end; the devil survives, and their story can only continue. Thinking that he was just a pain-relieving aspirin, he became the only beam of light shot through the death row window; the bloodthirsty vulture, who thought he was just hunting for fifty dollars, became a prey for feeding baby cheese. Just like the window that never goes out in Hawken Village, no matter where he walks in the future, the man's eyeballs will be transplanted to anyone, staring at his cold-blooded face.

Two worlds exist in this country: the quiet conservative life, and and the life of those two men - the underbelly, the criminally violent. Those two worlds converged that bloody night.
