The story of "Dead Silence" was thought of by James and Lee. Although they were young, they both became popular because of a " Saw ". This time they teamed up to film "Dead Silence" again, still using the previous collaboration method, thinking about the story together, James was in charge of being the director, and then thinking about the whole story with Li, and finally Li wrote the entire script independently. These two young people who have a special liking for horror movies originally wanted to make a horror story about ventriloquist puppets. After they communicated their initial ideas with the producer, it is not known whether the producer really liked the story or watched it. The "Qiantu" of the two people in China, anyway, agreed to make this movie, asking them to finish the script as soon as possible.
James and Lee stayed in the small house, thinking about how to build the framework of this horror story. The two of them had only one requirement for the story, and that was to frighten themselves first, so they put what they thought was the most horrible part of the script into the script. For example, James was most afraid of waking up in the middle of the night and suddenly found someone staring at the corner of the wall. The plot of is used in this script.
In the process of writing the story, the two also tried to distinguish the film from the "Saw" series. This time they decided to return this new film to the style of traditional horror movies, similar to their favorite Italian horror movies. Not relying on bloody scenes to scare people, but only relying on the establishment of the story to create this horror film, the duo with a clear purpose quickly wrote the script and delivered it.
