American astronaut Matt Kowski (George Clooney) and female doctor Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) board the "Explorer" space shuttle on the STS-151 mission to repair Hubble Space telescope. During the repair work, Russia launched missiles to destroy one of its abandoned spy satellites. The debris from the explosion destroyed a large number of spacecraft and rushed to the "Explorer", crashing it together with the Hubble Telescope. Except for the two who left the capsule, all the other astronauts were killed. Kuowski and Stone searched for the bodies of the astronauts and turned to the International Space Station, intending to use the Russian "Soyuz" spacecraft there to evacuate. When approaching the International Space Station, the two hit the space station’s solar panels and lost control. They were connected to the space station only by a rope wrapped around Stone’s feet. Kuowski unlocked her interception and was saved by Boston, who drove the "Soyuz" spacecraft to the Chinese Tiangong space station. Various malfunctions during the period made her almost desperate. But relying on the vision of seeing Kowski before dying, she cheered up, found a way to board the Chinese Tiangong space station, and finally returned to Earth in the Shenzhou spacecraft.

This film is refreshing when you watch it, and there is less aftertaste after watching (the characters and other aspects of the story are too simple). I don't know what to say besides discussing behind the scenes of shooting and bugs. Even if the screen is as big as Tiananmen Square, I have this impression.

FAVORITE MOVIE OF THE YEAR. This is the most exquisite movie I have ever seen with the use of 3D technology, a perfect combination of technique and arts. The comfortable rhythm of the excellent photographic editing, soundtrack and mature technology make people immersive, suffocating, lonely, helpless, fear of death, standing in the vastness and watching the sunrise on the horizon... it's so beautiful. The director has made a lot of wise choices. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to see it.

Gravity quotes

  • Ryan Stone: You're losing altitude fast, Tiangong. You keep dropping and you're going to kiss the atmosphere. But not without me, because you're my last ride.

  • Matt Kowalski: You've got to learn to let go.
