Into the Storm shooting process

In order to create a realistic effect, "Into the Storm" uses a lot of real shooting techniques. Steven Querrey doesn't want the film to be full of CG special effects, it feels like a group of people acting against the green screen. So the scenes of the actor Richard Armitage running to a falling truck in the film were all shot in real scene.
The protagonist of "Into the Storm" is a production staff who specializes in filming tornado documentaries, so in the process of film production, they need to complete the "shooting during shooting". The pictures taken by the DV in hand, the rented car and the cameras installed on the equipment all become part of the final complete movie.
The producer has made a huge investment for "Into the Storm", and strives to pursue the realism of the scene. There are several wind turbines capable of generating strong winds of up to 100 mph at the shooting site, roaring like an airplane engine; four large construction cranes are used to create a dim sky; heavy rain and countless debris created by the rain tower rages with the wind and beats For everyone.

【Ouch! ! ! The Tornado of the 21st Century! Take the wind chaser movie to make it feel like an apocalyptic robot war! 】——I don't even recognize my face when I hit my home. The super cell was filmed like this... the characters were so stupid that I cried.

At the end of the film, I found that two idiots weren't dead, which made me very angry

Into the Storm quotes

  • Pete: [on the phone] It's going to be big.

    [pauses]

Pete: I don't know how big. They're tornadoes, they don't do courtesy calls.

  • Gary: Trey, where's Donnie?

    Trey: I don't know.

Gary: Get away from the window

Trey: [Tree crashes through the window and alarms go off] TORNADO!

    Gary: RUN, RUN!
