Jiro Dreams of Sushi Creative background

Jiro Ono was born in 1925 and he is still working when he is 91 years old in 2016. His sushi restaurant is called "Sukiyabashi Jiro" and it is located in Ginza, Tokyo. It has only 10 seats and no toilet. To eat here, you need to make an appointment one month in advance, starting from 30,000 yen, customers cannot order meals, and it is completely according to the arrangement of the day. After a meal is finished within 30 minutes, the customer should leave immediately because there is an appointment later. It is such a wonderful little restaurant that has won 3 Michelin stars and represents the highest level of sushi. When Obama visited Japan in 2014, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe specially invited him to eat sushi here.
Relying on the reputation of the restaurant, the director of the film, American foodie David Gelb, because he likes to eat sushi, all the way to the birthplace of sushi, hoping to reveal the mystery of sushi through observation. He is an authentic American and graduated from the University of Southern California. When this film was made, he hardly had any other works.
