oh là là là là It seems that I haven't seen a comedy that makes people laugh so thoroughly in a long time. Characters, dramatic conflicts and plot clues are compressed into a single-act indoor space, and then burst out just right, several scenes. The play is hilarious, and the few Weber's comedies I've seen so far are great. ˊ_>ˋ

It's almost a film propped up by dialogue, it's very chatty, and the French are really good at this...

Le Dîner de Cons quotes

  • François Pignon: [after hanging up the phone] That was your sister.

    Pierre Brochant: I don't have a sister.

François Pignon: [appears confused] Really? I asked her who she was, and she said "His sister".

Pierre Brochant: [incredously to himself] He called Marlène!

François Pignon: She's not your sister?

Pierre Brochant: That's her name! Hissister! Marlène Hissister!

  • François Pignon: Sometimes I feel like you're really taking me for an imbecile.
