Not only is the literary atmosphere strong, the emotions are real and moving, but also it is very interesting. It is a down-to-earth characterization rather than a series of accidental events to fool things. The actors in this film are also outstanding. Thomas Mann himself and Greg are very similar in this role. They are both the kind of kids who dare to laugh at themselves in order to protect themselves. RJ Cyler has a very natural and easy-going demeanor. Olivia Cooke bravely shaved her head for her character.
