Director Alan. Rudolph cuts in in flashbacks, describing Cynthia being interrogated at the police station and recounting how James was killed and thrown into a ditch. It turns out that Joss, who opened a beauty salon, has often been attacked by this idle guy since she married James. Her friend Cynthia couldn't bear the domestic violence and helped Joby to murder her husband. Interesting, Glenn who played his wife. Headley did a great job, Bruce. Willis played the pesky villain on a rare occasion.
