Annie (Sarah Polley), a cleaner who is not yet 24 years old, is diagnosed with cancer and has only two to three months to live. Annie's husband is the first and only man in her life. At the age of 19, they gave birth to their daughters separately. The father who was in prison could not provide shelter for her, and the relationship with her mother was not very good. The family of four lived in a trailer. Fortunately, her husband recently got a job building a swimming pool. Annie decided to hide her illness from her family, and wrote ten wishes before her death, including finding another man who loved her, preparing a future birthday speech for her daughter, meeting a stepmother, meeting her father once and enjoying the rest of her life.
