The film is like a song and tearful tragedy of soldiers accusing all kinds of evils brought about by war. This evil has spawned a kind of wound that is difficult to heal. It makes people lose the ability to integrate into society and become like "Rambo". The problem crowd, even if their resistance to society is recognized by some viewers as a type of heroic act.
The film does not rely on scenes to win. What the film really remembers for the audience is the psychological trauma it shows for the soldiers, which makes Americans reflect on the war.
The film explores the issue of the Vietnam War, and uses a human perspective to see the value of survival, meaning, and the preciousness of friendship.
The first half of the film spent a lot of time describing the wedding, and then it contrasted with the hell scene in Vietnam. The scene of gambling with a revolver in the film shocked the audience. The film uses Robert De Niro's Michael to examine the cruelty of the war, and Christopher Walken's Nick to shock the audience. Meryl Streep doesn't have many roles in the film, just a few shots. It depicts the role of Linda as the "vase". Generally speaking, the film is an anti-war film that impresses the audience and is worthy of repeated observation.
The director Michael Cimino did not make the film a war with a lot of fire, but spent a lot of time to show the various emotions between people before and after the war, and portray the war on people from the aspects of family affection, friendship, and love. The indirect performance of deterrence and the damage to the human heart is far more lethal than the direct display of the war scene. Robert De Niro played Michael. He was brave and calm when he was captured on the battlefield in Vietnam and Russian roulette where his life was used as a bet. After the war, he reversed his previous performance and explained the ruthlessness in place. The impact of the war on him; Meryl Streep didn’t have much role in the film, but every time she appeared, she immediately robbed others of the limelight; played by Christopher Walken Nick, when the gun is pointed at his head, that face cannot be described by the word pain.
