"The Warrior" took five years from preparation to shooting. The shooting lasted five months, and it traversed more than 10,000 kilometers in Yinchuan, Beijing, Hebei and other places in China for live shooting. There are more than 300 on-site staff, 4 cameras and 60 vehicles are required for each shooting, and the film used reaches 300,000 feet. The capacity is equivalent to the sum of the cost of 4 ordinary films.
Because some scenes in the film were too violent and bloody and were banned by the film bureau, after the Korean film company edited and edited, the Chinese version of "The Warrior" was changed from the original film length of nearly 4 hours to 154 minutes.
After the post-production of "The Warrior" was completed, it was released in South Korea without the approval of the film bureau, and was banned from the film.
