Aunt May: I don't think it's for us to say whether a person deserves to live or die.

Peter Parker: But, Aunt May, he killed Uncle Ben.

    Peter Parker: Okay.

    Eddie Brock: I was just...

    J. Jonah Jameson: [cutting him off] YOU'RE FIRED!

Joseph 'Robbie' Robertson: [as Brock leaves] You know we're gonna have to print a retraction now.

    J. Jonah Jameson: I haven't printed a retraction in twenty years!

  • Girl at the Final Battle: [spotting something in the New York skyline at the site of the battle] Look!

[the crowd turns to see what she's pointing at. Spider-Man swings into view. The crowd starts applauding as Spider-Man briefly lands in front of the American flag]

    Crowd: [chanting] Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man!

Jennifer Dugan: [speaking to the camera] He seems to have come out of nowhere to answer the prayers of the city, just when all hope seemed to be lost.

  • Jennifer Dugan: [witnessing Spider-Man being pummeled by the giant Sandman] It's hard to believe what's happening. The brutality of it. I-I don't know how he can take any more.

Anchorman: This could be a tragic day for the people of New York. It could be the end of Spider-Man.

[Spider-Man stretches his arm out to Mary Jane, who is in the web above him. Sandman pounds him again, and his arm limply falls down. The crowd is in tears at what's happening. Just before Sandman can pound him one last time, something flies into the side of his head. A beeping sound is heard as we zoom in to see that it's a pumpkin bomb, which explodes causing Sandman to stumble back]

Boy at the Final Battle: Awesome!

Boy at the Final Battle: Wicked cool!

  • [Peter, possessed by the symbiot suit, sees a Daily Bugle newspaper with a doctored photo of Spider-Man on the front page. He notices that Eddie Brock has submitted the image]

Peter Parker: I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye.
