Limitations and Advantages

The suspense is not tight enough, the ups and downs are too few, and the major shift in human nature lacks excessive and convincing reasons.
From a modern point of view, the film is more like a fashion magazine led by Hepburn.
The few characters portrayed are only the description of the male protagonist in the first half, as well as the lazy, indifferent nature of Italians.
But as a film from the 1950s, light and shadow and composition are worth learning.
The lack of narrative and characterization may be the limitation of the times.

Hepburn is simply the best-looking woman in the world. The script is top-notch, and every sentence is subtext. The screenwriter who came out back then was really not a fan.
