salesman

So the translated name of the film is "The Salesman", but it has something to do with the salesman. It's just that the male and female protagonists played a "Death of a Salesman" in their spare time! (I don't know what the story of the salesman's death is, maybe there is a plot echo?) The film is about the male and female protagonists and the husband and wife's homes are about to collapse (it seems to be demolished) and there is no place to live. The male protagonist's main job is a university. The teacher, who works part-time with his wife as a drama actor, happened to be a friend of the theatre troupe's former tenant who moved out of the house, so he rented or lent it to the male and female masters. The former tenant appears to be a single mother with a chaotic private life, leaving behind a lot of personal belongings. One day, a mysterious man came to look for the former tenant, and the woman happened to be taking a shower in the bathroom, so the mysterious man couldn't stand the temptation and wanted to violate the woman. The female protagonist suffers double damage in body and mind, and the concern of neighbors and colleagues also brings pain to the male and female protagonists. During this period, the female protagonist wanted to give up finding the mysterious man, and blamed herself for opening the door without seeing the person clearly. In addition to facing the pain of his wife, the male protagonist had to face the pressure from his neighbors and colleagues. The relationship found clues about the mysterious man, but it was a bad old man. He planned to expose his true face in front of the old man's family, but in the end he just punched the old man, but the old man died of a heart attack because of his old age and frailty. At the end of the film, the hero and heroine put on makeup in the theater. Is life returning to its original trajectory? Or add another pain? unknown. I feel that the literati is really sensitive, forbearance, fragile and painful. If he finds out the culprit, he can't do anything to him. If he can retaliate regardless, it will be much more enjoyable. The former female tenant, who has never appeared, has a child alone and doesn't know what to do. At the end of the film, she only explained that she couldn't find a place to stay.

Three and a half. Much better than "The Past", but not as good as "A Farewell". The film obviously wants to make a parting moral dilemma, but the plot is somewhat deliberate, it is still a very tangled movie, and the viewability is good. It's just that I will be a little disappointed compared with a goodbye.

Every time Fahati talked about not only the moral dilemma, but also the thin, slow, and lingering cloud of the dilemma. The dark cloud in this movie is obedience: how people become cows. Quietly move out of the dangerous house caused by the government's brutal construction; do not report to the police if violated; and the students who are openly browsing the privacy by the teacher swallow. Obedience is also evil, no one is clean. The lines in the play are things that you can't usually say. At the end of the movie, the two of them turned white

The Salesman quotes

  • Emad: So, there's my wife. You'll still insist you didn't go in the bathroom?

  • Rana Etesami: If I had used that damn intercom, If I'd asked who it was... none of this would've happened.
