who was that shooter

Who the hell was that shooter?

As I wrote this sentence, a past incident suddenly came to my mind.

It was when I first entered high school and my home was in the country. When I went to high school, I went to the city and did not live on campus. I live in my uncle's house. There is a desolate dirt road to take a shortcut from my third uncle’s house to the school. During the day, I usually ride the permanent bicycle that my dad bought me, commonly known as the 28th bar. I go to school by the dirt road. Walk on the road with street lights. It was about noon after the rain. As usual, when I was riding my bike past the gate of an auto repair shop, I suddenly felt a tingling pain in my ankle, so I stopped the car subconsciously. I was wearing rain boots, but I didn't find anything unusual. When I was about to ride again, I saw three young people standing about 40 to 50 meters away from me. I clearly saw one of them. With what looked like an air gun in my hand, I seemed to understand something. Now I can't recall the expressions of those people, whether they were stunned or happy, all I know is that I stepped on the pedals of the bicycle harder than usual, and it seemed that I flew away from the place. For a long time in the future, I deliberately avoided that dirt road.

I've never thought about it again, but the past is so strange, sometimes it's not forgotten, it's just hiding somewhere you never noticed, maybe you'll never remember, maybe one day it suddenly jumps out, who knows!

Twenty years in a hurry, I don't know who the shooter is!

Roy: [in Spanish] This fence has been pushed over, cut, stepped on... I'm tired of repairing it. But I'm not taking it down.

Roy: Here's what I propose. I will pay you for your time and materials, if you repair the fence on a regular basis. You can do the work from your side of the fence. You're going to need to purchase some materials. Here's money to get you started. We'll meet here every Thursday around the same time, and we can speak about what sections need to be repaired. Okay? Okay.

Roy: You can go ahead and cross back through here. Your father-in-law will pick you up down the road.

    Miguel: [speechless]

Roy: That's my horse. So you go ahead.

    Miguel: [dismounts]

Roy: So I'll see you next Thursday?

    Miguel: [yes]

    Roy: Okay...

    Miguel: Thank you very much.

Roy: You're welcome, Miguel... Goodbye... Good luck.

  • Sheriff Randall Hunt: You can't walk in here and tell me that Ramirez is without blame. I mean, none of this would have happened if it hadn't been for those goddam Mexicans walking across your land.

Roy: None of this would have happened if you had changed the combination on your goddam gun locker.
