The film's total failure (in my eyes) is due to two main reasons, one is the blunt adaptation of the plot, and the other is the unpleasant characters and lines. Many friends say that the picture is beautiful, but I actually feel it is abnormal. I will mention it later when I have the opportunity.

Children's fantasy movies should not have asked too much, but unfortunately the director decided to remake a movie with many excellent previous works. The magical garden scene in the movie is also very unnatural, and I don't know why this adaptation is made. At the beginning of the film, the wasteland was also given a barren shot, and in a blink of an eye, the shot became the boulevard and tropical rain forest in the manor, and there was no explanation. Such a grotesque magic garden scene naturally does not need an old gardener to take care of it, resulting in The important role of the old gardener, the adult mixed in with the children in the original work, has been removed. The troubled children in the film are meant to grow and heal along with the recovery of the gardens they cultivated. If only two children were influenced by the accidental discovery of the beauty of nature, in fact, the secret garden would no longer be a secret.

The original work and the previous work are set in a noble family before the war, and the location is set in the wasteland for a reason.
