Cinderella's story

First off, I'll state that I haven't read the original book, so I'm not sure what Jane Austin's implicit attitude is in the book. I think from Jane's own point of view, she does not approve of superclass love, and the story of Cinderella is not her style. For example, Miss Smith in "Emma" could only marry Martin, who matched her status, and Emma married Mr. Knightley.

In this movie, I met the actor Billie Piper for the first time, and it seems that there are more and more bbc dramas now. She doesn't look pretty, but she fits the character very well. But the actor Edmund is a little out of character. His eyes are too big and his face is too long. I think the priest he played in "Emma" is quite suitable.

I agree with what most people have said, a few of the supporting characters did a great job, especially mary. including tom. However, after watching the whole movie, it makes people feel that it is not classical enough, but too modern. Especially during the filming, the heroine was always running around, and there was a kiss between the two, which didn't seem to have the feeling of that era at all. Of course, the makeup of the characters was also included. Just acting. Compared with several other adapted Jane Austen plays, it is indeed a lot worse.
