civilization and desert

I really like that this movie
makes people examine what is civilization and what is desert.
A civilization eroded by greed, dogma and industry is not comparable to a desert in Anton's films.
What an ironic fable..
what are we looking for?
All civilizations eventually cover up human nature.
What a revered realm it is to have collective intercourse on the wasteland! ! !
A plane full of graffiti is doomed to die after returning to civilization.
Driving the stolen car towards the sun will make the princess smile knowingly.
Anton's blasting, which lasted for several minutes, completely conquered my heart.
civilization! dogma! Get out of here!

Hey, remember the promise, it's beautiful here, I choose to stay.
What remains are people, not beasts.

Poetic slow photography. Jean Viggo's Underwater Voyage and Pillow Fight, Antonioni's Zabriskie Point and Silent Explosion. (The same slow-moving photography, John Woo's pretentiousness in Mission Impossible 2 is dead, it can't be compared) ////The Beat Generation, the student movement in the 1960s, anti-tradition, hippies, anti-war ///// Anthony is very fashionable, the costume in Zoom is the same as The Yardbirds, Pink Floyd in this one

However, Antonioni really becomes a native of whatever country he goes to. The film is linked to the civil rights movement in the United States. During the period when the opposition between romance and power, thought and capital is full, all symbols of civilization are blasted at the end, which is very inciting. Despite the metaphorical imagery of Zabriskie Corner, planes, explosions, etc., the film itself is too straightforward, lacking Antonioni's subtlety, and the anti-style makes people uncomfortable.

  • Daria: I'm looking for a little town that sounds like Glenville or Ballyville or something like that. Something with a "ville" in it. You know the desert. Does that ring a bell?

Lee Allen: A vi, a ville? What a minute. Hold on. A ville? What do you mean? Like a Danville?

Daria: Somewhere in the desert, man. Danville's in Connecticut. Or, maybe it's "hill".
