"Furious Offense" is a fantasy comedy with quite ambitious story content. Although the whole film is full of acrimonious ironic dialogues and sharp analysis of many aspects of religion, it also contains many naive and low-level jokes. The angels and demons in the film make people feel humanity strongly. They have feelings of anger, fear and romance, and they show the primitive and interesting scenes of heaven to life.
The film touches on some religious issues, even subverts the image of angels, and satirizes the sacredness of religion. Religious themes are inherently sensitive, and acts like director Kevin Smith's prejudice against the world are indeed rare. Bethany’s role is completely contrary to the sacred Catholic doctrine. The rebellious images of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the film undoubtedly add to the film’s black humor.

The first half has maintained a good feeling, and the ending has fallen into a farce...

The coolest work of the director. God was knocked out, God is a woman, Bob spoke for the first time, life and death were at stake, and he wanted to have a sex life. Several of God's horses were stupid. poor angel.

Dogma quotes

  • Bartleby: The humans have besmirched everything bestowed on them. They were given Paradise, they threw it away. They were given this planet, they destroyed it. They were favored best among all His endeavors, and some of them don't even believe He exists. And in spite of it all, He's shown them infinite fucking patience at every turn. What about us? I asked you... once to lay down the sword because I felt sorry for them. What was the result? Our expulsion from Paradise. WHERE WAS HIS INFINITE FUCKING PATIENCE THEN? IT'S NOT RIGHT, IT'S NOT FAIR. We've paid our debt. Don't you think it's time? Don't you think its time we went home? and to do that, I think we have to dispatch of our would-be dispatchers.

  • Bethany: Jesus didn't have any brothers or sisters. Mary was a virgin.

Rufus: Mary gave birth to CHRIST without having known a man's touch, that's true. But she did have a husband. And do you really think he'd have stayed married to her all those years if he wasn't getting laid? The nature of God and the Virgin birth, those are leaps of faith. But to believe a married couple never got down? Well, that's just plain gullibility.
