"Shocking Rescue" is actually a fascinating action movie. The film is largely inspired by Indonesian action movies. What makes this movie different from other mainstream action movies is the more sadistic violence scenes. Director Sam Hargreave showed more skill than showing personality in action scenes. Action scenes are preferable to dialogue scenes, because dialogue scenes only lead to predictable conspiracies and inevitable emotional fluctuations. The fighting scenes and the car chase scenes in the film are all made in a similar way, combining the styles of "Captain America 2" and "Quick Hunting". One of the 12-minute one-to-one action scenes was particularly stunning. The overall action scene of the film is very good, although the 12-minute long single shot makes the shooting technique of the whole film seem ordinary.
