The beautiful summer is coming to an end. Frank, a young man in a small town in England, is in love with Natalie. He has a happy family. His father Matt is a well-respected doctor in the town, and his mother Ruth is an elementary school music teacher. Although Frank loves architecture and painting, he also longs to be a fisherman like his grandfather. He has the same passion for the sea as his father. The whole movie is very smooth and restrained, reflecting a feeling of undercurrent and surging, and finally comes a big move at the end. The title can be really deceiving. It has the taste of Manchester by the sea, and it focuses more on the remodeling of the family after the trauma, and the emotional healing.
