Carl Brashirwas born into a poor family of black tenant farmers. When he was young, he was deeply attracted by the U.S. Navy and enlisted to serve in the military. When he first entered the barracks, he discovered that he was inside the navy. It was not as beautiful as he had imagined. There were shadows of racial discrimination everywhere, and even the work of ship crews had to exclude black people. The harsh reality did not make Karl Brashir abandon his ideals, he determined to become an extraordinary person. After he met Bill Sandy, the young black man became enthusiastically obsessed with being a diver in search and rescue work.
Carl Brashir spent almost two years lobbying and actively fighting for the opportunity to participate in the Navy diving training program. The instructor he met was not someone else but Sandy. This is a very stubborn guy, trying his best to dissuade Brashir from quitting this business that has never been joined by a black man. But Brashir persisted stubbornly. With his actions, he broke the white monopoly of diving in one fell swoop, broke through the navy's strictest racial boundaries, and entered the deep sea diving search and rescue force, the diving elite of the US Navy.
And at this time, Sandy's life was also turned into twists and turns due to his own unruly character and excessive drinking habits . The conflict between his marriage and Gwencontinued to intensify. But despite this, what Brashir met was still a powerful opponent. Billy Sandy was indeed an excellent diver officer that he could not deal with. Several confrontations finally made these two peer opponents. The inscrutable bond. In 1966, in an accident dealing with a deep-sea nuclear warhead, Blasiel unfortunately lost half of his foot. At this time, Billy Sandy did his best to help Brashir overcome the huge pain, and bravely challenged racial discrimination and the bureaucracy in the military with him, and jointly wrote a glorious chapter in the history of the US Navy's diving search and rescue.

If it wasn't boring, who would see the title men of honor and would be interested in continuing to watch it? Why don't honestly call it a rise of an angry colored man or reveal of die haesslichen americaner If it wasn't boring, who would watch it for 5 minutes and realize that I watched it on CCTV but I continue to watch it

Inspirational film~~~ very abusive~~~ racist, narrow-minded, ugly face; comrades-in-arms who sympathize with each other. Although there are performances of old actors and real plots, I still feel that it is quite ordinary, really ordinary.

Men of Honor quotes

  • Jo: Don't you see? I'm not like you. The things I want...

[Jo sighs and takes Carl's hand]

Jo: The things I want are smaller. If I just work hard and keep my head down...

Carl Brashear: Your whole life will pass you by.

  • [Sunday regards a picture of Carl's late father]

Billy Sunday: What the hell did he ever say to make you try so hard?

    Carl Brashear: Be the best.

    Billy Sunday: Well, you are.
