Silent House filming process

The original film used the one-shot-to-the-end technique quite boldly in filming, and this remake also uses the one-shot to the end technique. For this type of shooting, Laura Lau admitted that it was extremely difficult to shoot because the whole filming took place in one house. Before filming, Laura Lau and Chris Kentis were in the house walking and rehearsing over and over again, designing shots, movements, framing angles, and more. So, by the time the photographer is in place, most of the work has already been done. Later, it was a little troublesome for the actors to enter the crew, because after the actors, photography, lighting and other staff entered the scene, the house seemed a little crowded. Shooting is very complicated, and during rehearsal, it is quite hectic, because the whole movie needs to be divided into sections to be detailed, and the connection, transition, etc. must be considered between scenes. The biggest problem is not the positioning, but the coordination of the photographer, actors and lighting engineers. As long as there is a little problem with these three, it is necessary to overthrow them all   .
