Never underestimate the importance of feelings between men in Sandler's films; Sandler is at least good at playing these kinds of roles and can make audiences like them. The film is surprisingly rough.
Excluding the vulgar elements of the film, all of Sandler's films are at least very consistent, and this film is no exception.
The wedding plot set up in the film to attract couple audiences keeps many of the jokes in the film to a tolerable level, but the film does not have any other elements that are not abused by other films.
In fact, the film can still be worse; at least Samberg's performance is commendable in this Sandler's worst work in history.
The film excels in at least one aspect: that is the laziness of the creators.
