In the early 1940s, the Soviet Union imposed a dictatorship in Poland. The authorities arrested many Polish military officers and government personnel and sent them to concentration camps for "reeducation through labor." There, they suffered inhuman torture and unbearable torture, but also to survive, Janusz, Smithand five other political prisoners managed to escape from the concentration camp and stepped down. Embarked on a journey back to the civilized and free world. On the way, they met a Polish girl named Elena. The helpless girl joined their fleeing team. Along the way, they encountered sufferings such as hunger, ice and snow, storms and so on. But these did not become obstacles to their progress. After they escaped from the concentration camp, they walked southward, through Mongolia, through the Gobi Desert, through Tibet and over the Himalayas, and finally came to the time when they belonged to the British.
