The ecology of Washington's political circle has always been a "gold mine" for American drama writers to mine stories. As far back as "The White House," which ended a few years ago, and more recently, "House of Cards," have attracted an audience interested in political dramas. This fall's new Madam Secretary (aka "The Female Secretary of State") is expected to build on this momentum, and through Elizabeth McCord, viewers can get a glimpse into the day-to-day work of the US Secretary of State, not just mediating diplomacy.
Since its inception, there has been a lot of talk about the prototype of the story being Hillary. After careful study, it turns out that Elizabeth McCord is actually a "collection" of three female secretaries of state in the history of the United States. In addition, some critics believe that compared with other TV dramas about the White House, the first season of "Madam Secretary" is not dark enough and slightly boring, but fortunately "shares" the same executive producer with "Homeland", and develops a more intricate plot is just around the corner.
