The Big C movie plot

This is Showtime's other dark comedy featuring strong women after Weeds. Laura Linney (three-time Emmy winner, three-time Oscar-nominated) plays an ordinary wife, mother, and teacher whose peaceful life is instantly turned upside down when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Oliver Platt (Emmy-nominated, Golden Globe-nominated) plays her husband, a good man who still behaves naively into middle age. Gabourey Sidibe (Oscar nominated, Golden Globe nominated) plays her student.
Catherine has a lot more to do in the coming year, but no one believes she can make the changes—whether it's her street brother Sean (played by John Benjamin Hickey), or her playfulness. husband Paul (played by Oliver Platt). They felt she could only do what a woman is supposed to do: cook, do laundry, clean the house, then decide which store to go to and buy a new sofa to replace the old one that Paul had slumped on. Catherine looks down on these two "idiots" - Sean has a business school diploma, but can only lose his temper at the machines outside the shopping mall; Paul and a group of friends all day long to exchange cups, drunkenly playing electronic games together game. But whatever she wants to do, she has to speed up, she's running out of time because.she has cancer.
The country is easy to change, but the nature is hard to change. Catherine has always been a person who sticks to the rules and thinks of others at all times. How easy is it to change? She was reluctant to tell anyone her bad news, preferring to suffer alone rather than worrying about her. Thankfully, she has a good friend who is a doctor, who puts pressure on her every day, forcing her to change her current habit and face everything with an optimistic attitude.
You can describe the show as "weird + hysterical + painful + humorous". When Catherine finds out that she is not long in the world, she imagines her own way to finish the last leg of her life, but things always deviate from the direction she "designed". She is extremely distressed inside, but looks like a "desperate housewife", with a hysterical madness. Whether it is Laura Linney's superb acting skills or the play's exquisite lines, this play is worthy of your appreciation.

The last episode was so tear-jerking

Laura Linney's performance is too good to say. Maybe not as popular as the walking Dead, but it's the best new show of the year in my opinion. It made my eyes red for several episodes.
