Can this kind of film in which all the interior scenes are offices and conference rooms be called "bureaucratic films"? The script is simply too "detailed", full of working conversations between parliamentarians and government workers. The breathing space in the middle seems to be meaningless b-roll, and the protagonists of the story are like single-dimensional heroes and villains, regardless of the legal justice of the event itself. The moral struggles of the characters have not been fully manifested. On the contrary, it is vaguely like the Democratic Party's campaign movie to show that the Republican Party has no conscience. The judgment on whistleblower (or not to be -) is too simple and rude. The lens language is nothing new. Although too many indoor dialogue scenes restrict the space for play, it is obvious that photography has no innovative attempts to this, and the flashbacks that tortured prisoners are as boring as the anti-terrorism commercial films more than a decade ago. But Adam is still good Adam, one star is given to him. Although this character is a working machine, his performance is wrapped in layers of anger. He is really a big person, with a strong sense of presence on the screen, and he feels like he occupies more visual space than everyone else, a big bomb to explode.

How can a country be strong? Face up to history, reflect on and make public your mistakes, so that more people can supervise, avoid being inclined to the evil path that you once opposed while moving forward, and ensure the legitimacy of the results with process justice. At the same time, the perspectives of cognitive logic and conspiracy theories that deny value based on motivation rather than results should be avoided to the greatest extent possible.

Gretchen: You may not realize, but we were trying to protect this country from people who wanna destroy everything we believe in.
Daniel Jones: You may not realize it, but we are trying to do the exact same thing.

[first lines]
Cyrus Clifford: How long have you been working on this project, Dan?
Daniel Jones: Five years.
Cyrus Clifford: Five, wow. Every day? Nights? Weekends?
Daniel Jones: It's very consuming.
Cyrus Clifford: Do you have a relationship, Dan? Family? Just trying to get a better sense of who you are.
Daniel Jones: When it started I was seeing someone. But the nature of the work, the hours... I wasn't a very good partner.
Cyrus Clifford: Five years, and it could all go away. Just vanish in the face of these allegations.
