A simple, crude and boldly humorous sci-fi political satire. The core setting is very old: wearing special sunglasses ("mirror mirror") can "open the eyes", identify aliens in human skin, and see the ideology behind them through phenomena: consumerism takes money as a god, culture The common phenomena of late capitalist society, such as industry, the depletion of mind control ideas, the reproduction of the marriage system, and the entertainment to death by television media, are all blackened. Although bold and explicit, the conspiracy theory setting is still a bit shallow, turning all phenomena into keywords in black and white and shifting the focus of criticism (rich-poor polarization and class solidification) to vague aliens. Fortunately, the fighting scene is very exciting, especially the 7-minute long hand-to-hand fight between the two male protagonists. Several rampages are very enjoyable, and the final side-by-side battle scene has a fast and refreshing rhythm (fast cuts between the shoulder-to-shoulder fight, the subjective mirror and the close-up of the gunfire), and it ends with love and black humor. PS: The title of the film is displayed on a graffiti wall at the beginning, and then the TV voiceover directly mentions "Welcome to the 90s", and contemporary criticism replaces future fantasy. Nada: Don't wear them glasses too long. Starts to feel like a knife turnin' in your skull.
