The film's ruthless and thought-provoking attack on America's rampant racism. Samuel Fuller's attitude in the film is a scolding of ugly phenomena, a tough and merciless criticism. This White Dog is actually a metaphor for the most evil and depraved animal on earth, which is human beings. The ugly face of the racist is replaced by the hideous face of a dog in the film, which is more impressive than the direct depiction
.
The filming method of the film has inherited the cold, rough and extreme and sharp that Fuller has always insisted on. No matter how the times change, no matter how the society progresses, racism is recorded in the history of human beings like an indelible stain. But racism is not an inherent trait of human nature, but is gradually formed in the indoctrination of acquired education, just like the White Dog in the film, it can be taught and changed. The director originally used caring, kindness and tolerance in the film to give hope and light in the cruel reality, but racism may be more terrifying, stubborn and more ingrained than beasts. At the end of the film, the director used wider violence and destruction to completely introduce racism into the infernal hell, leaving only the lonely White Dog lying on the ground, leaving the audience with endless thinking
